Ray's Tank 2025

Ray’s Tank in Northglen, at 10667 Melody Dr Unit 15, Northglenn, CO 80234, remains without a doubt, the best Monster Fish LFS in Colorado. When you plan your visit, the hours are 11-7 Monday – Saturday, and Sunday 11-6. This is an old school LFS, which makes us older aquarists nostalgic. By this I mean they use trickle filtration and sump systems on most of their tanks. The rest are on sponge filters. At the front of the store they have all the supplies you’re likely to need. Plus they have added aquasoil and aquascaping supplies in the back. They do specialize in Monster Fish like Sting Rays, Arowana, and Gars, however, their selection has been diversifying as of late with more of the smaller aquarium fish for planted tanks. Plus they have unusual and hard to find fish as well. Also, they have four dedicated tanks for plants with more to come. So, if you want to set up a planted tank they offer all you need.

If you like Goldfish, Ray’s has the high quality Thai Goldfish. At the other end of the spectrum I saw bristlenose plecos for $6! They have a really good selection of archer fish right now. The only pics I took on this trip are of the overall store because I have photos of most of the fish they carry in my previous blogs, so just use the search feature and have a look at those. This being a mid-week visit they were in the process of changing water and doing maintenance, so this is another reason I did not take more pics. If this LFS is not already on your Fish Store Crawl list, then they certainly should be.
