ReefKoi Corals Flourishes

Reefkoi Corals located at 3945 N Academy Blvd suite e, Colorado Springs, CO 80917 will be the next LFS featured. The hours are 12-6 Sunday, Mon, Tues, closed on Wed, Thurs, Friday, 11-6 on Saturday. This LFS is a saltwater only store and this doesn’t even include installation or maintenance. Now this certainly does not mean they are short on service. Far from it! The advice you get here will be top notch fortified with years of experience.

Upon entrance the first space is dedicated to a display tank, aquariums, and refugiums. To the left is the office and the next two alcoves are for supplies. The main room in the back is for the livestock. There are approximately 10 tanks for corals! The fish tanks make up a back-to-back row of 6 tanks. In the very back they have the seawater station. I was fascinated by the invert rack, because each section drains to the next in a waterfall fashion. Each section is packed with life! Brittle-worms and the like are allowed to help with the tank maintenance.

The quality of the fish and corals you will find here are the best in the Springs. Of the two other LFS in the area and the one in Pueblo who carry saltwater this is the top choice for me. Yes, these other stores have good choices, so it comes down to the knowledge behind the product. If you keep saltwater tanks in Southern Colorado, then you owe it to yourself to add ReefKoi to your LFS crawl list.
